Considerate Constructors Scheme confirms excellent performance by ETC Sports Surfaces

ETC Sports Surfaces is delighted to announce that we have achieved impressive performance compliance ratings with the Considerate Constructors Scheme, who have renewed our membership for another year. Following a recent visit by the scheme’s Performance Compliance Monitor, our team was thrilled to have our sports pitch construction, health and safety, community engagement and environmental practices all recognised as being “very good” to “excellent”.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme is just one example of our voluntary commitment to these governing bodies – with our accreditations also extending to membership of SAPCA, CHAS and Constructionline.

Why is the Considerate Constructors Scheme important when choosing a contractor?

Founded in 1997, the Considerate Constructors Scheme is an independent, not for profit organisation that monitors it members’ performance against five important criteria: caring about appearance, respecting the community, protecting the environment, securing everyone’s safety and valuing the workforce. These are the cornerstones of accountability in the construction industry. They’re also principles that underpin everything we do at ETC Sports Surfaces. We know that, by renewing our voluntary membership of this scheme year-on-year, we offer an extra level of assurance that your sports surface solutions will be delivered efficiently, safely, and with consideration for your community of stakeholders.

Having renewed our membership in February 2019, we were subsequently delighted when the Considerate Constructors Scheme visited us in April to conduct a Performance Compliance Monitoring assessment. After observing our working practices, the assessment awarded us 7/8 out of a maximum score of 9 in all areas – commenting on the evidence they had observed of our professionalism, safety measures, staff training, environmental efforts and enthusiasm for community and charitable engagement.

We’re extremely proud of our team for achieving such great results with this important professional body, and we would like to thank the Considerate Constructors Scheme for taking the time to inspect our practices in this way. We look forward to maintaining our high standing with the scheme – and our customers – in the future.
